The day of the link is ending

As the battle between Google and the spammers rages on, the range of acceptable, white hat link building activities is getting smaller and smaller. It's not that link building is dead or pointless, but rather that many of the old ways no longer work. That's one of the things I love most about SEO; it's constantly evolving and pushing website owners and marketers to really focus on the quality of their SEO campaign, not just the quantity of links. The time of "easy win" links is rapidly ending.
